Woman Arrested After Shoplifting and Punching Walgreens Employee in the Face on Tuesday Afternoon

Chief Antonio DeVaul from the Takoma Park Police Department announced the arrest of Kellie Noel Boler, 32, of Washington, DC, for “strong arm robbery, assault, and other offenses.”

According to police, “March 19 at approximately 2:17 pm, Takoma Park Police responded to the 1300 block of University Blvd. (Walgreens) for a larceny in progress.  Boler was actively stealing merchandise from the establishment when approached by an employee.  Boler punched the employee in the face before fleeing on foot from the store with the merchandise.

Officers located Boler behind the Walgreens and a search incident to arrest yielded items stolen from the Walgreens as well as other items of evidentiary value.  Boler then escalated the situation by assaulting two police officers.  Boler was eventually taken into custody.

The victim and officers were not seriously, physically injured. Boler was transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit. The investigation continues under case #240013159.  Anyone with information about this crime is asked to please call us at 301-270-1100.
