Chief Antonio DeVaul from the Takoma Park Police Department announced the arrest of Irvin Mauricio Esquivel, 21, of Takoma Park, Maryland, for larceny, resisting arrest, trespassing and other offenses that occurred at Walgreens in Takoma Park. This is the third arrest in the last four days for larceny at the store.
Per Takoma Park Police, “On April 8 at approximately 12:40 pm, Takoma Park Police were in the 1300 block of University Blvd outside the Walgreens when they were flagged down by the store manager for a subject, later identified as Esquivel, actively shoplifting. Officers entered the establishment and made contact with Esquivel who initially resisted arrest; however, they were able to take him into custody. Esquivel had recently been posted from the property.
Esquivel was arrested, charged accordingly, and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.”
