Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a call regarding a lightning strike at a Damascus home on Peak View Ct. at approximately 11pm Saturday night.
According to an update provided on Sunday by MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer, lightning struck the chimney of the single family home. The strike sent several bricks crashing through the skylight. At the same time, the glass on the fireplace doors was blown out.
Several people were in the home at the time of the lightning strike, but nobody was injured. Photos by MCFRS.
