Woman Arrested After She is Found Sleeping in Vehicle She Allegedly Stole

Chief Antonio DeVaul from the Takoma Park Police Department announced the arrest of Nancy Slaughter, 40, of no fixed address, for allegedly stealing a car that was reported stolen in Prince George’s County and found in Montgomery County with Slaughter asleep inside.

Per Takoma Park Police: “On July 13 at approximately 5:10 pm, Takoma Park Police responded to a report of a person sleeping inside a vehicle with the engine idling in the 100 block of Lee Avenue. Upon arrival, officers ran the vehicle’s registration, which revealed that the vehicle had been reported stolen from Prince George’s County, Maryland.  Officers approached the vehicle and made contact with the individual inside, who was later identified as Slaughter. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
