Police Respond to Call For Gunshot Victim Who Was Shot in DC and Dropped Off in Montgomery County

On August 1, 2024, at approximately 7:17 pm, Takoma Park Police responded to the 200 block of Elm Avenue after receiving a call of a gunshot victim being transported from the District of Columbia to Takoma Park by motor vehicle.

According to police, “The victim was found conscious and breathing and was immediately transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. Upon investigation, it was determined that the shooting incident occurred in the District of Columbia. The victim was transported to the location by unknown individuals in a late model white Toyota Corolla with tinted windows.

Takoma Park Police have impounded items of evidentiary value from the scene, which will be handed over to the Metropolitan Police Department, who are leading the investigation into this incident.
