District 3 (Silver Spring) Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) Commander Jason Cokinos shared via social media on Saturday evening that a suspect was arrested after smashing the glass of a business with a sledgehammer.
Per Cokinos: “You know the saying… “if you see something, say something.” Well… it DOES help! A citizen called 911 reporting a strange subject with a sledgehammer entering an office building in the 8700 BLK of Georgia Ave in Downtown Silver Spring.
Your @mcpnews 3rd District officers, Drone RAVEN1, and K9 quickly responded. The suspect smashed the glass of a business and was inside when officers arrived on scene. The non-compliant suspect was taken into custody by K9 Beno. He will be taken to processing and booked on felony charges.”
