Trader Joe’s is set to open at 225 N. Washington St. in Rockville Town Square, taking over the former Dawson’s Market space, which closed this past summer after twelve years.
Employees at the Trader Joe’s locations on Darnestown Rd and Rockville Pike confirmed the upcoming store, although it hasn’t been publicly announced yet. The company has also filed permits with the City of Rockville for “interior alterations to an existing tenant space for a new grocery store installation” at 225 N. Washington St..
The popular grocery chain is know for its “unique, affordable products, friendly atmosphere, and focus on organic and specialty items.” The new Rockville location is expected to open in March 2025.
