Pandas Karate Launches Free Self-Defense Seminars for Girl Scout Troops

Pandas Karate, located in Derwood, has launched a fantastic initiative offering free self-defense seminars for Girl Scout troops in Montgomery County. Owner Daniel Amaguana reports that the response has been overwhelmingly positive, with participants enthusiastic about the valuable skills they are learning. A video showcasing the experience is available below.

Amaguana, a proud graduate of Northwest High School in Germantown, shared his excitement about a recent seminar: “Just last week, we hosted a troop at the studio, and the girls had a blast while learning real skills to help them feel more confident and safe. It was such a fun event, and it truly reflects our commitment to empowering young individuals.”

Pandas Karate began as a small operation in a Gaithersburg warehouse and has since grown into a thriving community hub at 7222 Muncaster Mill Rd. in Derwood. Amaguana is also an author; in 2021, he published his first children’s book, “Not So Bad After All,” which addresses anti-bullying and shares his personal journey of self-acceptance during his school years.

Pandas Karate is dedicated to continuing these free seminars for Girl Scout troops. Interested parties can easily get in touch through their website to schedule a session and join in on this empowering experience.
