McDonald’s in the Westfield Wheaton mall food court (11160 Veirs Mill Rd.) has permanently closed and will be replaced by fast-food rival Burger King.
Burger King will join Pollo Campero and Popeye’s as upcoming additions to the food court. Current food court vendors include Bourbon Street Cafe, Charleys Cheesesteaks, Grill Kabob, Suki Hana, Taco Bell, and Thai Kitchen.
Westfield recently announced that Montgomery County’s Department of Alcohol Beverage Services (ABS) will open its “upgraded retail concept,” Oak Barrel & Vine, on the upper level in the Costco wing. Additionally, Wiseguy Pizza, which opened in September 2023 as the chain’s only Maryland location, closed earlier this month in the Wheaton Mall food court.
