In this article we take a look at the upcoming restaurants that have created the most buzz on our website and associated social media accounts in the last few months. Today we’re going to highlight the five (in no particular order) that have generated the most buzz in the last few months in terms of views, likes, and shares:
• bartaco (Pike & Rose) has signed on to open its first Maryland location at 11886 Grand Park Ave. in North Bethesda’s Pike & Rose. It will be taking over the space that was previously home to Nada, which had a nearly eight year run that came to an end last September. More here.
• Sixty Vines (Gaithersburg): In December, we let you know that Sixty Vines– the restaurant known for its revolutionary wine on-tap program and vineyard-inspired cuisine, is making its move into Maryland with a Gaithersburg location. More here.
• Big Papi’s Tacos (Rockville): In the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic’s significant challenges, DJs Victor Alvarez and Carlos Jimenez took advantage of their unexpected free time to chase a long-cherished dream. As the world came to a standstill, they dedicated themselves to making Big Papi’s taco restaurant a reality in the Industry Lane Business Park near Frederick. • Dumpling District (Germantown) will be taking over the space at 19775 Frederick Rd in Germantown’s Fox Chapel Shopping Center that was most recently home to Bonchon. More here.
• Bouboulina (Pike & Rose): An American grill influenced by Mediterranean cuisine, will open this March at 915 Meeting St. in Pike & Rose (North Bethesda, MD) by the founders of Cava Mezze, Julii, and Melina. More here.
