The Washington Commanders have signed veteran center Nick Harris, adding depth and experience to their offensive line. The move comes just one day after the team released offensive lineman Julian Good-Jones, who had reportedly been having issues with his snapping during recent practices.
Harris, a 2020 fifth-round pick out of Washington, has spent his career with the Cleveland Browns. Known for his versatility, he has experience playing both center and guard. His signing is a direct response to the need for a reliable presence in the interior line, particularly after Good-Jones’s struggles were highlighted.
The addition of Harris provides competition behind starter Tyler Biadasz who is currently backed up by Michael Dieter. The Commanders also signed veteran tackle George Fant earlier in the week to bolster their offensive line depth.
