Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred late Saturday night at the Germantown Square Urban Park.
According to police, on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at approximately 11:08 p.m., officers from the 5th District, along with Maryland-National Capital Park Police and Montgomery County Fire Rescue Service personnel, responded to the area of Germantown Road and Middlebrook Road for the report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The decedent’s body has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the official cause and manner of death.
Police have confirmed that one suspect has been charged in connection with the homicide. Details regarding the suspect’s identity and the circumstances leading up to the shooting have not yet been released.
Authorities say this remains an active and ongoing investigation, and additional information, including the victim’s identity, will be made public once next of kin have been notified.
