The Washington Commanders announced a series of roster moves ahead of Sunday night’s matchup, highlighted by the return of veteran safety Will Harris and the previously reported return of star wide receiver Terry McLaurin.
Harris has been activated from the Reserve/Injured List after recovering from an ankle injury (broken fibula) and has officially been removed from the team’s injury report. The Commanders also signed long snapper Zach Triner to the practice squad. Triner, a reliable veteran who previously spent several years with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was additionally elevated to the active roster for Sunday’s game.
Defensive end T.J. Maguranyanga (pronounced mah-GUHR-an-yong-AH) was also elevated from the practice squad and is expected to provide rotational support along the defensive front. Wide receiver Ja’Corey Brooks has been placed on the practice squad injured list.
On the offensive side, Washington will get a major boost as Terry McLaurin is set to return Sunday night. The team’s top receiving threat had been working his way back and is now cleared to play, giving the Commanders a needed spark as they prepare for prime-time action.
