Joy By Seven Reasons, a Latin American restaurant concept from the team behind popular Washington, D.C. eateries Seven Reasons and Imperfecto, is liquidating its assets after closing its Chevy Chase location late last year.
The restaurant, located at 5471 Wisconsin Ave. in Chevy Chase, will auction off its kitchen equipment, dining furniture, and decor later this month.
According to auction details, bidding will begin closing on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at 10:07am. Buyers will then have a scheduled removal window on Friday, March 27, from 9am to 3pm to pick up purchased items from the restaurant.
Joy By Seven Reasons opened in October 2022 as a Latin American concept from Seven Restaurant Group co-founders Enrique Limardo and Ezequiel Vazquez-Ger. The group is also behind the acclaimed Washington, D.C. restaurants Seven Reasons and Imperfecto.
The Chevy Chase location was designed as a more casual, neighborhood-focused extension of the Seven Reasons brand, serving Latin American-inspired dishes and cocktails along Wisconsin Avenue.
Joy By Seven Reasons closed in December 2025, ending its run after a little more than three years in Montgomery County. No reason for the closure has been publicly announced, and it remains unclear what business may eventually take over the space.
