Solidcore is preparing to open a new location at Pike & Rose in North Bethesda, according to recent hiring listings from the fitness studio.
The company is currently hiring for positions specifically tied to an upcoming Pike & Rose studio. An exact location within the development has not yet been announced, and an opening timeframe has not been provided.
The Pike & Rose location would continue Solidcore’s expansion in Montgomery County. The company has operated two Bethesda studios for more than a decade, and leasing materials recently revealed plans for another location in Gaithersburg’s Kentlands neighborhood.
As we reported in October, Solidcore has signed on for space at 618 Center Point Way in Kentlands. Leasing documents from Kimco show the fitness studio taking over one of two spaces currently occupied by the United States Postal Service in the same strip as My Gym and OrangeTheory. At the time of our report, a USPS representative said they were unaware of any potential closure or changes to the location.
Solidcore’s first Maryland studio opened at Wildwood Shopping Center in Bethesda in January 2016, followed by a second Bethesda location at 7101 Wisconsin Ave. in March 2016.
Solidcore offers a high-intensity, low-impact, full-body strength workout featuring Pilates-inspired movements performed on a resistance-based machine. Classes focus on slow, controlled movements designed to keep muscles under continuous tension while minimizing impact on the joints. Classes are typically held in dimly lit studios with energetic music and combine strength and core exercises during a fast-paced workout.
Additional details about the Pike & Rose location, including its exact space and anticipated opening date, have not yet been announced.
