Detectives Continue to Investigate Silver Spring Area Burglaries

For Immediate Release: Thursday, February 24, 2022

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 4th District Investigative Section are investigating two separate burglaries that occurred in the Silver Spring area. Detectives have released surveillance photos of the suspect and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying him.

On February 3, officers from the 4th District responded to 2500 block of Glenallen Ave. for the report of a burglary that just occurred. The investigation by detectives determined that during the overnight hours, an unknown male forced entry into two separate offices within the complex. Upon entering the offices, the suspect vandalized and stole property prior to fleeing the scene.

On February 6, officers from the 4th District responded again to the 2500 block of Glenallen Ave. for the report of a burglary that occurred earlier. The investigation by detectives determined that on February 3, an unknown suspect gained access into a locked storage room and stole property.

Detectives have determined that both incidents were committed by the same suspect.
