Detectives Continue to Investigate Silver Spring Attempted Thefts from Auto

For Immediate Release: Thursday, March 24, 2022

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Police – 4th District Patrol Investigation Unit, continue to investigate multiple attempted thefts from auto that occurred on February 10, 2022 in the Silver Spring area. Detectives have released surveillance video of the suspect and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying him.

On February 10, at approximately 3:20 a.m., residential surveillance video captured a suspect in the 700 block of Pebblestone Court checking vehicle door handles to see if the vehicles were unlocked.

Additional vehicles in a surrounding block had been entered and ransacked. Investigators believe that the same suspect was involved.

Anyone with information regarding this suspect is asked to call the 4th District Patrol Investigation Unit at 240-773-5476.
