19-Year-Old Dead After Shooting in Silver Spring, Two Suspects in Custody

Per MCPD:

At approximately 3:40 p.m., Montgomery County Police 4th District officers responded to the 1000 block of Good Hope Drive for a person shot. When officers arrived, they located a 19-year-old male in the parking lot of a residential area and initiated life-saving measures on the victim.

Montgomery County Fire Rescue responded to the scene and provided aid to the victim.  The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A lookout was placed for the suspect vehicle, which was spotted by 3rd District officers. Following a brief pursuit, two suspects were taken into custody.

This is an active and ongoing investigation, and a formal news release will be distributed once more information becomes available.
