Fryer’s Roadside Sold to the Owners of All Set Restaurant and Money Muscle BBQ

Earlier this month we let you know that Fryer’s Roadside, described as “a traditional walk-up window Chicken Shack/Ice Cream Stand”, was available for sale for an asking price of $150,000. The restaurant has been sold to Chef Ed Reavis and Jennifer Meltzer, owners of All Set Restaurant and Money Muscle BBQ, according to a report by Source of the Spring (statement available below). Details of the sale are currently unavailable.

The restaurant is located at 12830 New Hampshire Ave (former location of Chopaan Kabob House) in Colesville’s Meadowood Shopping Center and has been open for a little over a year. Below you’ll see a statement by the new owners, per Source of the Spring:

Chef Ed Reavis and Jennifer Meltzer, owners of All Set Restaurant & Bar and Money Muscle BBQ, are excited to announce that they have purchased Fryer’s Roadside at 12830 New Hampshire Avenue in Silver Spring, Md,” the announcement reads. “The previous owners of Fryers, a roadside fried chicken and ice cream stand, recently announced that the one-year-old restaurant was available for sale. Effective Saturday, September 17, Reavis and Meltzer will assume ownership of Fryer’s and will close the existing space with plans to reopen later this fall. As fellow independent restaurant owners in Silver Spring, Reavis and Meltzer want to thank the previous owners, Steve Engelhardt and his partners, for their dedication to the community and neighborhood and assure loyal Fryer’s fans that they remain committed to serving great food to Silver Spring and Montgomery County at large. Follow All Set and Money Muscle BBQ on social media and online for updates and news on the new restaurant.
