Uzu Revolving Sushi is Coming Soon to Rockville

Signage is up in the window for Uzu Revolving Sushi at The Shops at Congressional Village on Rockville Pike. This will be the second revolving sushi restaurant that’s making its way to Rockville, as we previously reported Kura revolving sushi will be headed to nearby Federal Plaza.

There is currently not much information for Uzu, but revolving sushi is usually placed on some type of conveyor belt that serves sushi by rotating it through the restaurant, allowing customers to make their selection as the sushi moves past every table. An opening date is not yet available.

The multi-tenant retail shopping center known asThe Shops At Congressional Village, a one/story commercial building and a leasehold interest on the first floor of 192 Halpine Rd in Rockville went for $44 million at an auction on Wednesday, October 12th, 2022. The auction was won by the IVEA restaurant group (who owns local restaurants like Gyuzo BBQ, Gong Cha, The Spot, Kyoto Matcha, Lao Sze Chuan, and more) and Chicago-based Windfall Group LLC who we are told plans to add additional restaurants to the shopping center. Uzu will join Okaeri Japanese Cafe, Kanpai Southeast Asian BBQ and Shabu Shabu Buffet, and more in the shopping center.
