
255 Rockville Pike, a property in Rockville known as the Rockville Center, was recently sold via auction. According to a Maryland Newsletters report, a group called 255 Rockville Pike LLC paid $5.72 million for the building.
The report states that “according to a deed recorded in the Land Records, the group shares an address with Bethesda-based Lantian Development.”BizJournals previously referred to the building as representing the remnants of Rockville Mall. As of now, it is unknown what the future plans for the building consist of.
The vacant office building is comprised of approximately 145,491 square feet, located on approximately 2.5 acres at 255 Rockville Pike, Rockville, Maryland 20850. It includes underground parking for approximately 447 vehicles. According to the online listing by Alex Cooper, It was believed to have been built in 1987 and renovated in 1998.
‘The Shops at Congressional Village’ shopping center, located just a couple miles down Rockville Pike went for $44 million in an auction last October.
