Last year, our very own “Mr. MoCo” released a list of his favorite steak and cheese subs in Montgomery County. This past weekend, The MoCoShow as a whole released its list of the Top 5 cheesesteaks in Philadelphia, and it coincided with the release of the “Mr. MoCo Cheesesteak” that is now available for a limited time only at SOKO Butcher (7306 Carroll Avenue, Takoma Park, MD). The 2024 high school commencement season is set to begin on Wednesday, May 29, and will end Wednesday, June 12. Graduation ceremonies will take place on individual high school campuses, at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C., and on the campuses of Mount St. Mary’s University and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. More than 11,000 students are expected to receive their diplomas. The ceremonies will include an array of commencement speakers, including TV reporters, politicians, educators, MCPS staff members and others.

Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) has announced expanded partnerships with Identity, Inc. and Tree of Hope Association in all high schools. As part of the partnership with the MCPS School System Medical Office, Identity will expand trauma awareness and related programs for students and caregivers. The Tree of Hope Association will enhance resource access for youth and families struggling with substance use through peer support, mentorship and capacity building across MCPS high schools.
