Clear Skies Meadery, located at 325 Main Street in the Kentlands, is preparing for its soft opening in just a few days and we had the opportunity to stop by and check it out.

Clear Skies Meadery will have it’s soft opening on March 13-15 (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) from 5pm-8pm) and every Friday, Saturday, Sunday at 5-8pm for now, until the grand opening on Friday, April 3rd at 5pm (ribbon cutting ceremony at 3pm). Days are subject to change, so make sure to give them a follow to remain updated.

Harriet Tubman: Fight for Freedom is an electrifying and captivating one-woman show that takes its audience on Harriet’s exploits after she stopped working as a Conductor on the Underground Railroad through her celebrated Civil War service as a soldier, spy, and nurse.

The show celebrates the indomitable life and spirit of this great American who made her way to freedom, and never stopped fighting to free others.


Rockville

Coming to Rockville this summer, Custom Ink will open its third brick-and-mortar showroom in Maryland at Congressional Plaza between Honeyfish Poke and Cartoon Cuts in a 900-square-foot space. Education

MCPS Prepared to Provide Online Instruction/Regional Meal Sites if Schools Close Due to Coronavirus

In a community message sent out on March 4th, MCPS outlined a plan the school system would follow in the event of school closures due to the corona virus.


Germantown

Ridge Road is an existing rink refurbished by the Capitals. The old boards were removed, and the existing metal frame was used. The bench area and doors were adjusted to be ADA compliant by Riley Manufacturing, who then installed their board system. A new Daktronics scoreboard and Mateflex flooring system was installed featuring the Capitals logo.
