Gaithersburg

The artist, Katie Giganti, who was hired through the organization Artists Circle Fine Art, grew up in Gaithersburg, MD, and frequented Quince Orchard Plaza during her youth to purchase art supplies. Her inspiration for the mural stemmed from the evolution of Quince Orchard to become the hub of diversity it is today, emphasizing the present and future while reflecting on its past. The mural features blossoming quince flowers, a map of the surrounding area and represents the future potential for growth in this community-centric destination.

“My early visits to Quince Orchard Plaza for art supplies and tools fueled the career I love as an artist,” said Katie Giganti. “I was honored to have been selected by Federal Realty to share my talents in a community that means so much to me.”
