The first location will be in the Hale Center at 8517 Colesville Rd. in Silver Spring (pictured below).
The other location will be in the Montgomery Village shopping center at 9997 Stedwick Rd.
That location was supposed to close at the end of August 2017, but signed a year extension. A few weeks back, the year ran out and Jerry’s packed up and left.
There were previously rumors of Matchbox also replacing Ted’s Bulletin In Downtown Crown (Gaithersburg), but they never materialized before Matchbox sold off the Ted’s Bulletin brand last year.
Matchbox currently has a location in MoCo on Rockville Pike. The new Silver Spring location is expected to open by Spring 2019.
A report that came out a few few months ago mentioned Ruby Tuesday closing 51 locations nation-wide this summer, but it seemed as if Germantown was safe. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to survive this round.
Studies show that working out to music can be more beneficial than you think. From the tempo to the lyrics, songs can affect performance greatly by changing one’s mindset or to get away from the outside world.
Athletes, runners, gym-goers and more from all over the world, utilize music to get themselves into the zone. An example of getting into the zone might be listening to the same warm up song each workout. This sets a habit change that ensures you’ll start your workout whether you have the motivation for it or if you’re having an off day.
According to their Facebook page, their hours are 11am-10pm daily.
Though they haven’t announced the vendors, Pike Kitchen is expected to include Korean bibimbap, Hawaiian poké bowls, bubble tea, Taiwanese buns (bao), Japanese Ramen, Vietnamese bahn mi, Thai street food, and much more!
They’re using this week to “get acquainted with their work flow,” but don’t worry…they’ll be making it more than worth it by offering 40% off all food!
I attended their friends & family opening and can safely say that this will become the premier sushi “date spot” in MoCo.
However, regardless of these changes, MoCo will always be her home. Born in Rockville, she lived there for 5 years before moving to Iran for a year and then Dubai before returning home to MoCo, in Rockville at the age of 13.
“I’ve lived here for a long time since the eight-year gap; however, I don’t think much has changed. New buildings are built, and roads are fixed up. MoCo’s still the same; it’s so diverse. Culturally, scenery wise, city wise. It’s really got it all,” Paryavi said.
The studio will be located at 107B Gibbs Rd and will host their first public workshop on October 26th and is open for private events anytime after that date.
