The Washington Football Team was without four of its top defensive ends for this past Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys (3 due to being on the NFL’s Covid-19 list).
Yesterday it was announced that Washington’s Covid-19 list is now up to 9 players:
DT Jonathan Allen
DE Montez Sweat
DE James Smith-Williams
DE Casey Toohill
DE William Bradley-King
LB Khaleke Hudson
LB David Mayo
CB Darryl Roberts
TE Temarrick Hemingway
In addition to the 9 players on the list, it was also reported that a Tier 3 staffer tested positive for the Omicron variant of Covid-19– the first known case of the variant in the NFL.
Tight end Logan Thomas sustained a knee injury two weeks ago in Washington’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders. It was initially feared to be a torn ACL, but further tests initially indicated that the ACL was not torn. Unfortunately for Thomas and the Football Team, recent tests revealed that the ACL was, in fact, torn.
Additionally, Washington has been without third down back JD McKissic and is in danger of missing number 1 wideout Terry McLaurin after a possible concussion in the game against the Cowboys.
The Washington Football Team will play against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday as they vie for a playoff spot.
