CVS at 12209 Veirs Mill Rd, located in the same shopping center as Korean Korner and Unique Thrift, is closing. A sign on the front door lets customers know that prescriptions sent to this pharmacy will now be filled at the CVS at 11190 Viers Mill Road in Wheaton.
A representative from the store told us that they did not have an exact closing date yet, but that it would be “soon”.
Last week CVS announced that they planned to close around 900 stores over the next three years.
We recently reported that CVS would be taking over the old Tommy Joe’s/Boulevard Tavern/Brasserie Beck/O’Donnell’s location in the Kentlands and that construction was expected to begin soon.

I think that the Wheaton one might close next, due to the Glenmont location getting a HealthHUB to remodel this year. In fact, I think that the Glenmont Shopping Center might see a comeback due to stores finally opening there.
