Lidl to Open First MoCo Location This Wednesday
This past summer, Governor Larry Hogan announced that Lidl US, America’s fastest growing retailer, will open 10 new stores and add 400 jobs in Maryland by the end of 2021, more than doubling its footprint in the state.
This included three MoCo locations, including Glenmont, Montgomery Village, and Takoma Park that were all supposed to open in the first half of 2021.
The Takoma Park location has moved faster than anticipated, as Lidl announced it’ll be opening the location (6881 New Hampshire Ave) this Wednesday, 12/9/20, at 8am.
The Glenmont and Montgomery Village locations are progressing and still slated to open in the first half of 2021.
