Montgomery County Council Asks for and Received Corrected Executive Order Maintaining Current Childcare Capacity Limits

Early yesterday we reported on the Montgomery County Council introducing, holding a public hearing, and voting on an Executive Order on Thursday, November 5, 2020 that would have potentially decreased childcare capacity to 50%

Most comments and messages we received did not support such a decrease and many people reached out to the County Council to voice their concerns.

In the evening, Councilmember Andrew Friedson tweeted that The Montgomery County Council received a corrected Executive Order that would maintain existing childcare capacity limits after they shared their concerns due to the amount of childcare providers and parents that reached out.

The corrected executive order can be seen here.
