Per Montgomery County Police For Immediate Release: Saturday, April 23, 2022
Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Police – Major Crimes Division are currently investigating the April 22 homicide that occurred in Germantown. On Friday, April 22, 2022, at approximately 10:50 p.m., Montgomery County Police – 5th District officers responded to the 19500 block of Gunners Branch Road for the report of a shooting that just occurred.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers administered aid until Montgomery County Fire Rescue arrived, and he was pronounced deceased on the scene. The victim was identified as a 20-year-old male from Frederick. The victim’s name will be released following proper notification of the next of kin. Currently, there is no suspect in custody. This is an active and ongoing homicide investigation.

A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect(s). Callers may remain anonymous.
