MCPS

MCPS Chief Operating Officer Brian Hull has sent a an e-mail to MCPS staff members this past week regarding increased scrutiny/attention on social media activity by MCPS staff. The e-mail states that there has been in increase of staff accounts being reported that the district has “an obligation to follow up on.” This comes a few weeks after a was sent a few weeks back regarding social media engagement by staff. DC Sports

For the second straight week Ron Rivera benched Sam Howell in favor Jacoby Brissett, and just like last week Brissett came in and immediately found success. The Commanders ended up losing, maintaining their draft position, but the future of the quarterback position isn’t as clear as it seemed a few weeks back when Howell was playing much better football. Brissett had the following words for Howell (quotes transcribed by the Washington Post’s Nicki Jhabvala):

The DMV is a term that has been around for the last 30 years or so, referencing DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Though the entire District of Columbia is always included in definitions of the area, questions remain about what parts of Maryland and Virginia make the cut (video below).
