County Council to Meet Tomorrow to Conduct Public Hearings on Legislation to Improve Police Accountability and Training

The Montgomery County Council will meet virtually tomorrow to discuss the Community Informed Police Training bill that was introduced by Councilmember Will Jawando. The bill would create new requirements related to the recruitment, training and continuing education of police officers.

Southbound Lanes on Great Seneca Highway Closed Due to Downed Power Lines

Chief Spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Pete Piringer is reporting that a dump truck ‘truck bed’ went up and brought down wires and traffic signals at Great Seneca Hwy and Richter Farm Rd.


Rockville

As part of the City of Rockville’s Baltimore Road project, crews will close Baltimore Road for several months beginning on or about Wednesday, June 23, 2021. The roadway is expected to remain closed through mid-October.

The closure will be implemented between Gladstone Drive and Broadwood Drive. Crews have installed pedestrian and vehicle detour signage to safely guide motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists following the detour route.
