Two employees of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) were charged in connection with making an unauthorized copy of Airports Authority records that appeared to be surveillance video from the airport showing the American Airlines jet colliding with an Army helicopter last week.
Back in October, Baltimore Police arrested 24-year-old John Callis of Baltimore following the brutal assault that was captured in a viral video of the man assaulting two Washington Commanders fans following this past season’s Ravens/Commanders game. The man was arrested, and today he was sentenced.

Alert Montgomery issued a “Severe Traffic Alert” at 6:12pm Monday evening for “emergency roadwork that closes various lanes of northbound I-270 before Exit 4A (Montrose Road MD-927)”. Per the alert, “Expect significant delays. Seek alternate route.”

Montgomery County Police 4th District (4D) officers and specialized teams recently made multiple arrests, recovered stolen vehicles, and closed robbery cases, including the January 30 arrest of a robbery suspect in Wheaton, the January 31 arrest of two suspects linked to a November 2024 robbery, and the recovery of two stolen vehicles near Veirs Mill & Randolph Rd, leading to four arrests and drug seizures. The Board of Education held its third work session on the Fiscal Year 2026 operating budget with a focus on the superintendent’s planned restructure.
