The left lane on the outer loop of I-495 between the Fernwood Rd overpass and Greentree Rd overpass in Bethesda is closed due to a pothole that has left several vehicles on the right shoulder with flat tires, per Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS).

Talonvest Capital, Inc., a boutique self storage and commercial real estate advisory firm, and its longtime client, 1784 Holdings, have announced the closing of a $53 million construction loan for the development of a Class-A self storage facility in Bethesda, MD (The 1-acre project is at 5204 River Road). The 200K SF property will come online in Q4 of 2025.

Giant Food, has announced the grand opening of a new Maryland store located at 5320 Zenith Overlook in Bethesda. Doors officially open at 6 a.m. on Friday, January 26th. This new store replaces the Giant Food store located at 5400 Westbard Ave. in Bethesda. All staff members were offered the opportunity to transfer to the nearby store and loyal customers will not experience an interruption in service as the new store will open the following morning after the Westbard Ave location closes.
The Montgomery Mall (7101 Democracy Blvd) food court has been without a familiar favorite the last few weeks as Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen has gone dark.
