Bob’s Bethesda, which initially went by Bob’s Shanghai Bethesda, has officially signed on to open at 7776 Norfolk Ave., the former home of Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza.
Limon’s Gems & Jewels, a historic family–owned jeweler in Bethesda and first reported closing by Robert Dyer, will close its doors this month after more than a century in business. Located at 7909 Norfolk Avenue, the business confirmed it will cease accepting new work during the first week of November and anticipates closing by Thanksgiving, with limited availability afterward to complete existing orders. Little Beast, the neighborhood restaurant and pizzeria located at 5600 Connecticut Ave NW, is stepping up to support local families in need. The restaurant announced on social media that it will offer free large cheese pizzas to families who present a valid SNAP card, adding a simple message: “If they won’t, we will.”
Clyde’s of Chevy Chase (5441 Wisconsin Ave) will temporarily close for renovations beginning Saturday, November 1, and is scheduled to reopen on Wednesday, November 5 as the restaurant undergoes a major multi-million-dollar upgrade. (more…)
