The Montgomery County Department of Police Major Crimes Division has arrested Maurquise Emillo James, 22, in connection with the fatal shooting of Robert Fuller Jr., 87, at Cogir Potomac Senior Living. James, a Baltimore resident and employee at the facility, was arrested on February 24, 2026, and charged with first-degree murder.
The incident occurred on February 14, when officers and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service personnel responded to a reported medical emergency and found Fuller unresponsive in his apartment. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner later ruled his death a homicide caused by a gunshot wound.
