At approximately 12:16 am early Sunday morning (March 31, 2024) Virginia State Police troopers were alerted to two vehicles attempting to race along I-395 southbound in Fairfax County. The driver of one of the two vehicles is 19-year-old Kennedy W. Mejia Medina, 19, of Silver Spring, who attempted to flee and crashed into two other vehicles while doing so.

Earlier this year a man received federal felony charges related to his flying a drone over M&T Bank stadium during the National Football League’s AFC Championship game in Baltimore on January 28, 2024.
Metro is currently offering a property for development, located in the Eisenhower Avenue Corridor in Alexandria with a mix of residential, retail, and business development. The approximately half-acre site is a short walk from the Eisenhower Avenue Metro Station on the Yellow Line, and next to the Metro Building at Eisenhower. New development solicitations are expected soon for a North Bethesda site as well.
