Stephanie Rinelli, a rising senior at Sherwood High School, has been making waves in the Olney community with her very own baking business, “Sweetz by Steph.” This past week, she reached an exciting milestone when her delicious chocolate chip cookies began to be offered at Lone Oak Brewery in Olney.
Children 18 years old or younger may come to MCPS summer meals locations Monday through Friday for a healthy and nutritious lunch. The Summer Meals Program is designed to bridge the “nutrition gap” when school is out at no cost to families.
The Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center (MCASAC) at 7315 Muncaster Mill Rd. in Derwood fully restored its air conditioning a day after a mechanical failure caused rising temperatures inside its near-capacity facility. During the issue, MCASAC put out a call seeking short-term foster homes for pets and the response was remarkable.
The community is rallying around 22-year-old Kyler Emmanuel and his family after he was struck by the driver of a vehicle in a hit-and-run on Dorsey Rd. in Hanover, MD (Anne Arundel County) early Saturday morning. Montgomery County, MD, resident Ace Goodson, 41, is set to make his third appearance on “American Ninja Warrior” this Monday at 8 p.m. on NBC. For those who miss the live broadcast, the episode will also be available for streaming the following day on Peacock.
