A legendary chapter of Maryland high school football is being brought to life in a new book written by former Seneca Valley High School athletic director Ray Sacramo and longtime head coach Terry Changuris. The project chronicles the rich history of Seneca Valley football and the foundation of a program that became one of the most successful in the state.

Minds in Motion Child Care, the largest Black owned child care business in Montgomery County, will host a free Black History Month celebration on Friday, February 20, from 7pm to 9pm at Watkins Mill High School in Montgomery Village. The community wide event will feature a headline performance by nationally acclaimed step troupe Step Afrika!, along with free dinner for all attendees.

Founded by Montgomery County resident Nicole Cerquitella, the Casserole Club began a year ago as a grassroots effort to support some of the community’s most vulnerable neighbors. What started as a small volunteer initiative has grown into a consistent, monthly operation that brings people together to cook and serve nutritious, home-style meals to local shelters across the county.
