District 4 (4D) Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) Commander David Smith shared that 400 pressed fentanyl pills were recovered when protective patrol observed and interrupted a drug sale on Friday night.

Maryland-National Capital Park Police have arrested 76-year-old Steven Eisen of Silver Spring on charges of indecent exposure and possession of child pornography following an intensive investigation. Police are seeking information on additional potential victims. Eisen was previously arrested for indecent exposure by Montgomery County Police in August 2021 and by Park Police in February of this year.
A Virginia man was found guilty of second-degree assault in Montgomery County after a jury trial where drone footage from Montgomery County’s Drone as a First Responder (DFR) Program showed him stabbing a man in Silver Spring. The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) has announced that four teens—a 13-year-old, a 14-year-old, a 17-year-old, all from Silver Spring, and a 15-year-old from Prince George’s County—have been arrested for an armed carjacking on Bethesda Avenue, where the 17-year-old displayed a gun and demanded the victim’s car keys, resulting in their apprehension following a traffic stop on Wisconsin Avenue.
