A 66-year-old man was arrested on Thursday after he allegedly threatened officers with a knife while illegally occupying a vacant building in Chevy Chase.

The Maryland-National Capital Park Police have arrested Jose Ivan Cordova-Blanco of Hyattsville, Maryland, in connection to indecent conduct charges that occurred on Saturday, August 17, 2024, on Sligo Creek Trail in Takoma Park, Md. A mugshot was not provided in the press release.
The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) released surveillance images of three suspects who allegedly stole from the Nike store in the 22700 block of Clarksburg Road.

On Tuesday, Dennis Hinnant, 30, of Silver Spring, was sentenced to 40 years in prison for the second-degree murder of his wife, Taresha Pendarvis, after turning himself in to police and confessing to the crime in February 2023. (more…)

Last night, the Maryland Car Rally Task Force, in collaboration with state police and local law enforcement, dismantled eleven illegal exhibition driving events across Baltimore, Prince George’s, and Anne Arundel counties, resulting in seven arrests, the recovery of a stolen vehicle, and the seizure of an illegal firearm.
