A Gaithersburg man was sentenced to 21 years in prison after being found guilty of multiple assault charges, including assaulting two officers, following a 2023 incident.

On November 5, at approximately 4:06 am, Takoma Park Police responded to the 700 block of Ethan Allen Avenue for the report of a strong-arm robbery that had just occurred involving five juvenile suspects assaulting the victim and taking his car keys before stealing his vehicle.

The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) has charged Adelaida Consuelo Zacarias Chacon, of Germantown, and Reyna Gomez Lopez, of Philadelphia, with first-degree conspiracy to commit murder after an investigation revealed that Chacon allegedly paid Gomez Lopez to arrange a murder-for-hire plot against her ex-boyfriend.

The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) has announced that Tiffany Zhang, 29, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder after allegedly confessing to killing her mother, Guichun Hu, whose body was found near their residence in 19400 block of Olive Tree Way in Gaithersburg on Monday.

Dominique Moore, 46, of Montgomery Village, pled guilty to six counts of child neglect for his six minor children in Montgomery County Circuit Court, facing a maximum of 30 years in prison, with a sentencing hearing set for February 5, 2025. His wife, Cynthia Moore, was recently convicted of the same charges and is scheduled for sentencing on January 22, 2025, following their arrests related to the death of their 17-year-old child in unsafe living conditions. Earlier this week, Maryland-National Capital Park Police announced they arrested 76-year-old Steven Eisen of Silver Spring on charges of indecent exposure and possession of child pornography following an intensive investigation. Eisen was previously arrested for indecent exposure by Montgomery County Police in August 2021 and by Park Police in February of this year and a man of the same name and age was named as a suspect in at least 30 similar incidents back in the 90s, according to the Washington Post.
