Montgomery County Police have arrested 31-year-old Darrell Dwayne Cousar of Silver Spring for allegedly breaking into a senior living facility on October 8, 2025, where he assaulted multiple elderly victims and attempted a sexual assault before being apprehended nearby and charged with multiple offenses.
The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect involved in a commercial burglary that occurred around 2:45 a.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at the Sunoco Gas Station in the 11240 block of Veirs Mill Road in Wheaton.
According to MCPD, the suspect is described as a Black male in his 20s or 30s with a thin build and long locks, was seen wearing a gray hooded sweater, no shirt, black pants, and orange with red sneakers. According to detectives, the suspect forced entry into the business, stole items of undisclosed value, and fled on foot.

Overnight Saturday, Montgomery County Police 5th District (Germantown) officers responded to reports of a subject breaking into vehicles.
Nicholas John Roske, 29, of Simi Valley, California, was sentenced today to 97 months in federal prison to be followed by a lifetime of supervised release for attempting to kill a United States Supreme Court Justice in Montgomery County, MD. The Department of Justice advocated for a sentence of at least 30 years to life.
