Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced the arrest of 20-year-old Moises Alberto Figueroa-Bonilla, a Salvadoran national and confirmed MS-13 gang member, at his residence in Frederick on May 27. He had been deported four times and repeatedly reentered the U.S. without inspection
Detectives from the Gaithersburg Police Department are investigating a shooting and assault that occurred Saturday night on Bureau Drive, where two men sustained non-life-threatening injuries after being attacked by a group, with evidence of a shooting also recovered at the scene. (more…)
This morning we reported that the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) responded to a shooting involving multiple suspects and a tow truck driver overnight in Montgomery Village. This afternoon we heard from the driver of the tow truck. Photos of some of the damage can be seen below.

Donald Amechi C. Igwebuike Jr., 23, of Silver Spring, and Dawda Kairaba Jawara, 25, of Columbia, were arrested on May 29 after Anne Arundel County Police recovered two loaded handguns, drugs, and over $2,000 during a traffic stop on Fort Smallwood Road. (more…)
Torrey Damien Moore, 34, of Silver Spring, was sentenced in Montgomery County Circuit Court to three consecutive life terms and an additional 80 years in prison following two separate murder convictions. He was found guilty in the 2022 shooting deaths of a gas station employee and his pregnant girlfriend, marking the County’s first conviction for the murder of a viable fetus. (more…)

Chief Antonio DeVaul from the Takoma Park Police Department has announced the arrest of Amilcar Seliano Ramos Mejia, 32, of Takoma Park, Maryland, for 2nd Degree Assault.
During a traffic stop in the Briggs Chaney/Castle Boulevard area of Silver Spring, MCPD’s 3rd District Community Action Team arrested a driver with an active warrant and recovered a stolen loaded handgun, while a passenger was also arrested after an AR-style pistol with 30-round magazines was found.
