The Montgomery County Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with an attempted armed robbery that occurred on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at approximately 10:13 p.m. the 1000 block of Ripley Street in Silver Spring.
The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) has charged two 20-year-olds from Chevy Chase and a juvenile from Silver Spring with armed robbery and related offenses after they allegedly robbed four juveniles at gunpoint and attempted to force them to withdraw more money at an ATM on April 21, 2025, before fleeing when a police vehicle approached.

Chase William Mulligan, 28, of Silver Spring, Maryland, pled guilty to two counts of producing child sexual abuse material in federal court. The charges are in connection with a scheme in which he met young girls through social media and internet chat rooms and eventually “sextorted” them.
