The 2025 NFL Draft has concluded. Despite the Washington Commanders having only five picks– a consequence of last season’s and this offseason’s trades for Marshon Lattimore, Deebo Samuel, and Laremy Tunsil– ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. was full of praise for the team (see video below).

The Washington Commanders drafted Oregon offensive tackle Josh Conerly, Jr. in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft—a move that few predicted but one that has been warmly received by reporters and fans alike. One ardent supporter of this decision is offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury, who left a note for general manager Adam Peters earlier this week. The note (video available below) was simple and it read, “I stopped by. Take Oregon tackle. Thnx! Kliff.”

The Washington Commanders selected Oregon offensive tackle Josh Conerly, Jr. with their first pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, further strengthening an already improved offensive line. However, contrary to circulating rumors, Conerly did not “send back a $100 bill” to the team.

The Washington Spirit announced today that it will welcome ten new members into the Coaches Mentorship Program for 2025. Allie Coyle, who became the first woman to coach a Maryland boys’ soccer team to a State Championship when Blair defeated Richard Montgomery this past fall, is one of the mentees.

The Terrapins wide receiver, a product of Germantown’s Northwest High School, brings a decorated college resume and hometown pride to the draft process.
