The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) has announced the arrest of a Silver Spring man in connection with two home invasions and assaults on elderly women, and he now faces multiple charges, including attempted rape and theft, after detectives linked him to both incidents with forensic evidence.

Back in January we let you know that Eggspectation, a restaurant that serves “elevated American cuisine with a lengthy all-day breakfast menu alongside hearty lunch and dinner fare”, is returning to Montgomery County with its upcoming Burtonsville location. After a previous expected opening timeframe of fall 2024, an “early 2025” timeframe is now listed for the restaurant.
Eggspectation left Montgomery County in September of 2020 after 15 years in Downtown Silver Spring. The restaurant plans to return early next year with its new location at the renovated Burtonsville Crossing shopping center (15701 Columbia Pike). “What started as one location in Montreal is now a thriving franchise spanning six countries. eggspectation boasts 30 years of success serving our guests across the globe! The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will offer adult bike and e-scooter classes in November, including Learn to Ride and Basic Skills sessions, with online registration now open, and a free walk-up e-scooter class on October 27.
