Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division are investigating an incident involving a 2-year-old who fell from the 15th floor of an apartment building in the 11200 block of Oak Leaf Drive in White Oak.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a call for a toddler who fell from the 15th story of 11235 Oak Leaf Dr (The Enclave apartments) in White Oak, according to a report by DC area crime reporter Allen Henney. Miraculously, the toddler survived the fall and is alert and conscious.
A Montgomery County jury convicted a 23-year-old defendant of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, firearm offenses, and reckless endangerment for a 2023 shooting on a Metrobus that resulted in one death and endangered multiple passengers. (more…)

Montgomery County has proposed its first-ever Tax Increment Financing (TIF) plan to help fund infrastructure for the $2.8 billion Viva White Oak development, a large-scale mixed-use project in East County expected to bring thousands of jobs, housing units, and new public amenities.
