In November 2023, we let you know that plans were submitted to convert the current site of 7-Eleven (15585 Old Columbia Pike) and the adjacent Mattress Warehouse (15595 Old Columbia Pike) in Burtonsville into a Wawa. Construction plans were approved on Thursday for what will be Montgomery County’s second Wawa.

37-year-old Michelle Gogan of Burtonsville tragically was hit and killed by a driver in the parking lot of the Giant Food store located on the 15600 block of Old Columbia Pike in Burtonsville (Burtonsville Town Town Square) on Thursday.
