Two Adventist HealthCare hospitals – Fort Washington Medical Center in Fort Washington, MD, and White Oak Medical Center in Silver Spring, MD – have earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit organization. Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda also earned an A grade.

John Vigna, 57, of Silver Spring, a former Montgomery County Public Schools teacher who pleaded guilty in March to one count of Sexual Child Abuse and three counts of Sexual Abuse of a Minor, was sentenced today in Rockville. Vigna was originally sentenced to 48 years in prison in 2017 but that conviction was overturned last year and he was released on bond as he awaited a new trial. (more…)
Adventist HealthCare White Oak Medical Center, an acute-care hospital in eastern Montgomery County, is adding patient beds to increase its ability to serve patients from across the Washington, D.C., region who seek emergency and inpatient care for medical, surgical and heart procedures.
EDENS, a national retail real estate owner, operator and developer, last year announced its partnership with Domain Fitness & Performance– a new premier fitness facility at Burtonsville Crossing in Burtonsville. The fitness facility just received a $2.5 million permit for its fitout, according to a report by Maryland Newsletters.
TGI Fridays, which has a Montgomery County location in Rockville and White Oak, has announced it will offer free meals for teachers on Tuesday, May 7 for National Teacher Appreciation Day.
